Smart System Co-design Lab

The Smart System Co-Design Lab (SSCL) focuses on developing advanced technologies in low-cost IoT systems, RF power amplifiers, power circuit design, and VLSI circuit design, with an emphasis on device-to-circuit modeling frameworks and energy-efficient systems. SSCL addresses key applications in agriculture, disaster management, air quality monitoring, and structural health monitoring, utilizing platforms like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and various sensors, alongside software tools such as Python, MATLAB, and Google Colab. The lab also explores approximate computing, CNN hardware implementation, and communication system design on FPGA, while leading research in GaN-based RF devices, non-destructive RF sensors, and ultra-wide bandgap semiconductors. Equipped with advanced simulation and characterization tools like Silvaco, Synopsys, and Keysight ADS, SSCL fosters innovative research, supporting Ph.D. and postgraduate projects in smart system design and energy-efficient solutions for real-world challenges.
