Smartaics has created the first fully wireless, cloud-based and IoT solar ecosystem. Our solution enables solar installations to meet mandatory National Electrical Code safety requirements including the Rapid Shutdown, NEC 690.12, devised to protect emergency response and service staff from fire and electrical hazards and enables recovery of up to 25% energy (otherwise lost to shading, debris, faults,...). We have simplified the solar module electronics so it can be assembled easily and directly into the module junction box in the OEM factory. This results in a single global solution with minimal working capital and inventory management. Our module-level device connects to the Smartaics gateway via ZigBee using our commissioning application. The gateway connects to a Wi-Fi device that provides access to the Smartaics cloud management server. Smartaics total installed cost is 50% lower than the competition. Our solution complements industry leading string and central inverter based solutions.
