SmartCrowding is a Norwegian company, founded in 2014 to tackle a very real problem in the global healthcare system. This issue is (over)crowding in hospitals & healthcare centres, which in turn leads to poor & stressful experiences, a delay in treatment, inefficient resource utilisation, unnecessary costs and, amongst other things and in the worst cases, the loss of lives.
The issue of overcrowding in the healthcare system isn't a local one; it's absolutely global. From Norway to the USA, the UK to India, lives are being lost unnecessarily due to many factors that are avoidable, or at the very least improvable, with the help of our technology. With our cloud-based solution, designed from the ground up in hospitals, we have already halved A&E/ ER waiting times in Scandinavia and reduced corridor patient numbers to zero. We will shortly be adding predictive capabilities too, allowing healthcare trusts to prepare for what would have previously been the unexpected!
