Smartec, a majority-owned subsidiary of Safran Aircraft Engines (70%), was created in 2001 in partnership with the Russian engine manufacturer UEC-Saturn (30%). Our business is the design and in-service engineering support of different types of civil propulsion systems and power generators. Smartec has locations in two cities, both historic centers of the Russian aerospace industry, with headquarters in Moscow and a regional branch in Samara, about 1,000 kilometers southeast of the Russian capital. Smartec calls on Russia's top engineers to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions. To develop solutions keyed to each customer’s specific requirements, Smartec uses the proven methodologies and world-class design software.
