Smart EFD is a tech solution offered by Evas Autotravel Company Limited and developed by TenTen Inc Limited—a company owned and operated by Tanzanians.
Following the integration of Smart EFD with the TRA-EFD Management System, businesses can issue fiscal receipts using a smartphone, laptop, point of sale device (POS), or desktop. The generated fiscal receipts can be verified with a QR Code, under TRA guidelines.
Smart EFD has the following endless possibilities;
I. Programmed to issue and send customers both soft and hard copy receipts through email, Bluetooth, social media, text messaging, and/or printing.
II. Auto-generated tax invoice billing for rendered taxable products or services and sharing with customers. Similar to EFD Receipts, tax invoices feature a QR code for verification.
III. Auto-generated Z reports are sent directly to the TRA servers. Sent copies of the reports (X Report) are backed up in the customer's account and are readily accessible at any time.
IV. Business owners have the option to request additional accounts, for their other business units. Through the Admin feature, they can control and manage the businesses by; previewing sales reports, deactivating accounts, setting a price cap for the issuing of receipts, etc.
V. The system is setup to accept requests through an Application Programming Interface and get their request processed. Customers owning software like; Sales and Accounting can integrate with Smart EFD.
VI. Adopted cloud measures to protect data privacy and security across online platforms. But most importantly, the delivery of computing services including servers, storage, databases, software, etc.
VII. Supported in English and Swahili, users have the option to switch their preferred language.
Smart EFD is a product that explores existing manual EFD challenges and identifies gaps between what competitors offer and what taxpayers need.
