The SmartMet Lab at OsloMet—Oslo Metropolitan University is committed to advancing the smart monitoring and maintenance of infrastructure through innovative technology and data-driven solutions. By integrating cutting-edge technologies such as drones, sensor networks, and AI-driven analysis, we aim to enhance the longevity, safety, and sustainability of bridges, roads, buildings, tunnels, and offshore structures. The SmartMet Lab is a research and development center under OsloMet’s Department of Built Environment. Our focus is to reshape infrastructure monitoring and maintenance by utilizing drones, digital twins, and predictive analytics to create smarter, more resilient infrastructure systems. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and partnerships with industry leaders, the lab delivers scalable solutions to address the pressing challenges of infrastructure management.
