Smart Multi Academy Trust

We are a group of schools in Newcastle upon Tyne who have formed a Multi-Academy Trust because we share a collective vision for excellence in education. We believe passionately that the children within our communities deserve nothing less than the very best of opportunities and experiences to become successful citizens and lifelong learners able to lead happy, fulfilling and healthy lives. Our pupils come from a very wide range of social and economic backgrounds and cultural heritages. We see this as our strength and take great pleasure in celebrating diversity while we constantly strive to ensure that we meet the academic and personal development needs of every single child. We know that the route to future success lies in us maintaining the highest of aspirations for our pupils and ensuring that, by the time they leave us, they are well-equipped to move on to the next phase in their education and future lives. We understand that this is underpinned by pupils’ development of secure skills across the full range of subjects in a broad and balanced curriculum, including those in English and Mathematics. With this in mind, we are working collaboratively to develop innovative approaches to our curriculum planning that will stimulate children and motivate them to love learning and playing together within our safe, vibrant and nurturing school communities. Our partnership working goes beyond the Academy Trust as we are an outward looking organisation seeking to learn from others as well as to share our own good practice and expertise.
