Smart Packaging Europe

Smart Packaging Europe, an EUMEPS initiative, is an alliance of companies big and small that reflects the diversity of the European EPS industry. That industry as a whole is composed of more than 1,000 raw material producers, converters, additive suppliers, recyclers, and machinery manufacturers, most of them small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). They generate a yearly turnover of 5-6 billion euros and directly employ more than 60,000 people across Europe. We span the full EPS life cycle from raw materials production to packaging manufacturing and recycling. Currently at 18 members, we welcome others who share our vision of a successful, sustainable EPS industry in Europe. Our mission is to contribute to a more circular, sustainable economy in Europe by raising awareness of the economic, social and environmental benefits of EPS packaging. Smart Packaging Europe is an EUMEPS initiative: EUMEPS is the European Manufacturers of Expanded Polystyrene, the association that represents the EPS industry as a whole.
