Smart Packaging Industries AS have developed and patented a revolutionary packaging concept called Q-Bic®. The Q-Bic® concept is a smart multi-functional, multi-platform plastic, aluminium, paper or any other suitable material tray solution, that will be available in several models and versions, adapted to different products and product categories. In addition to presenting its own brand, Smart Packaging Industries will provide customers and suppliers with brand strengthening, innovative, environmentally sound and cost effective technically advanced packaging solutions that meet the needs of suppliers and consumer every day. Smart Packaging Industries AS customers The customers of Smart Packaging Industries and the Q-Bic® concept are typically 1) large packaging production companies for the food and non-food industry, 2) producers of CPG and 3) brand owners - where reduced transportation volumes, equals reduced costs related to distribution and sales as well as a switch to a more environmental friendly business model is critical. Environment Countries and companies are increasingly sensitive to environmental issues—and plastic packaging waste is a key concern. Shifting markets E-commerce is transforming the packaging landscape as it becomes secondary to illustrations and product photos. The packages themselves need to be lighter, smaller and stronger than ever to assure easy and cost-effective handling and transportation. Waste Today, 40 to 60% of packed volume is air. That means a significant portion of logistical costs, wasted packaging and CO2 emissions come from transporting air from one location to the next. In EU 36% of all waste is from packaging, thus the new EU-regulation proposed ultimo November 2022.
