Die Stiftung bezweckt die schweizweite Förderung und Unterstützung der Berufs- und Weiterbildung (formale und nichtformale Bildung) im Bereich vernetzte Gebäude und Städte mit dem Hauptziel, die dafür notwendigen Fachkräfte sicherzustellen. Im Fokus stehen dabei die berufliche Grundbildung sowie die höhere Berufsbildung. Sie entwickelt und erstellt dazu Lehrpläne und Lehrgänge im Rahmen der Schweizerischen Bildungslandschaft. Dazu pflegt sie einen intensiven Kontakt zu Organisationen der Arbeitswelt (OdA’s), Unternehmungen und Interessengruppen (IG) in den relevanten Branchen.
