SMD Therapy

SMD Therapy is a Counselling and Psychotherapy practice based in Maynooth, Co.Kildare. SMD Therapy provides a professional service within a confidential space where you can explore your feelings, emotions and behaviours. The aim of counselling is to help you make sense of what is happening in your life at the moment and how your current experiences impact on your feelings and relationships in your daily life. My approach to Psychotherapy is primarily Humanistic and Integrative. This means that I view each individual as unique with endless potential and I believe that under the appropriate conditions, that everyone has the capability of becoming the best version of themselves. I use a range of techniques and interventions from a variety of therapeutic models including CBT and other evidence based approaches which are tailor-made to suit each clients own unique needs and circumstances. I have experience working with a variety of issues including but not limited to anxiety, panic, depression, suicidal ideation, anger management, work-related stress, low self-esteem and confidence, bereavement and grief, childhood related issues, trauma and relationship issues. At SMD Therapy you will be provided with support and understanding through whatever difficulties or challenges that you are currently experiencing.
