Guided by the vision of its Managing Director Mr. Shival Maharaj, the company started fifteen (15) years ago as an immediate solution to the needs of the events industry. As the economy diversified, and consumption patterns changed, other companies were introduced as solutions partners. The Event Rentals Division fully supported the events industry and the General Logistics Division supported the events, construction and real estate industries. Two additional companies were incorporated to meet the increasing demands of the economy. Thus, Power & Heavy Equipment and Construction & Property Management Divisions were added to service the booming construction and real estate industries. In 2012, it became prudent to form the SM Group, a parent company of these major companies. This formation created an alliance that built on the strengths of each Company and has provided tangential benefits simultaneously across sectors.
