The SmileForJosh Foundation is a non-profit organization formed in the honor of Joshua Christian Level. Josh was not only a great basketball player but also an amazing son, brother, friend, and inspiration to all that knew him and even to those who didn’t. On February 19, 2013, Josh passed away after collapsing on the court during his high school basketball game. The cause was myocarditis, a viral infection that inflamed the heart muscle. This foundation has been created as an effort to keep his name alive by means of service and positive influence on the lives of youth.
Our Mission:
The SmileForJosh Foundation’s mission is to transform the lives of inner-city youth with community events, athletics, and mentorships as well as raise awareness of cardiac health risk in high school student-athletes through education and advocacy.
