Smiles Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Canada and the Dominican Republic. Our goal is to improve the health and well being of disadvantaged children in the Dominican Republic by offering free preventative health education and restorative dental treatments to children.
Even though Dental Care and Primary Health education were our primary initiatives, our clinics have branched out to facilitate learning about Environmental Care, English Language, and Computer Technology. Since 1987, children in need to receive our services free of charge and we have treated and educated over 5 million people in the Dominican Republic.
In our Canadian office we source out and ship donations to our 10 permanent and 5 mobile Dominican clinics. In 2017, we pioneered the "Smiles in Action" Program for Active Living and Health Education for the less fortunate. This program has already impacted over 2000 Canadians, thanks to the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
Smiles Foundation remains devoted to improving the lives of people in need and will continue spreading health and love for years to come.
