Originally founded in 1960 by Harvey Smith, joined by Son-in-Law Bill Thomas in 1971, we remain a family operated business to this day.Initially operated out of a converted house at 1927 South Florida Ave., Smith & Thomas has expanded to a larger facility at 115 Rogers Terrace in Lakeland, Florida to better assist our customers. Founded as a Nationwide Insurance Agency, Smith & Thomas became an independent agency in 1975. Now representing 26 underwriting companies, our family has the ability to meet the insurance needs of the residents of the state of Florida.
