Student Mentorship Program, IIT Roorkee

The Student Mentorship Program is an initiative under the aegis of the Dean of Students’ Welfare, IIT Roorkee, that aims to foster healthy senior-junior interaction to make transition into campus-life easier for the incoming freshmen. SMP aims to guarantee prompt adjustment of freshmen with the institute culture by in-person interaction with experienced senior year students which makes opportunities more accessible to them and fosters their personality development. With a firm commitment from the administration and mentors, the SMP team envisions to bring an unprecedented shift in the paradigm of senior-junior interaction whose apparent benefits will bring glory to the institute in the long run.
