In September of 2001, a small group of A/E/C marketers met and quickly decided that an SMPS chapter in Oklahoma was desperately needed to help firms within the state join together to form stronger partnerships and also to offer training opportunities for its members. Within three months officers were elected, Articles of Incorporation were filed, and on December 11, 2001, Oklahoma was declared the 50th SMPS chapter in the nation.
The Mission of the Oklahoma Chapter is to be a marketing support base for its members offering networking opportunities, educational workshops in marketing and business development, local and national information relevant to the industry and national exposure with other SMPS chapters from all over the United States.
Our Vision is to strengthen the A/E/C industry in Oklahoma with relevant information through networking, educational programs and national exposure that will add to the growth of our firms as well as to the overall economic and aesthetic growth of our great state.
