SMW-AUTOBLOK is a global corporate group in the workholding industry since 1942 from the foundation of Autoblok SpA in Italy, the largest power chuck manufacturer in Europe. In the 1970s the company established AUTOBLOK France, UK and Germany. In 1990s Autoblok SpA established AUTOBLOK USA, AUTOBLOK Japan and acquired SMW of Germany.
The combination of these premier manufacturing entities created the SMW-AUTOBLOK group and resulted in the most extensive product line of high quality workholding for clamping technology and gripping systems on machine tools in the world.
