Sinds augustus 2019 vallen vijf scholen onder stichting speciaal onderwijs Randstad. Deze scholen geven onderwijs aan kinderen waarbij het leren en ontwikkelen niet vanzelf gaat. Dit betreffen de volgende scholen en locaties: V(S)O de Rank (Barendrecht, Sliedrecht en Dordrecht), V(S)O Samuelschool (Gouda), SBO Beversluisschool (Gouda), SBO de Wijngaard (Barendrecht) en SBO de Akker (Sliedrecht en Werkendam).
De vijf blaadjes in hun specifieke kleuren symboliseren de vijf scholen. Blaadjes zijn het teken van groei en ontwikkeling. Binnen de blaadjes is een pad aangegeven dat je samen kunt bewandelen.
De gestippelde hoek verwijst naar de Hoeksteen waar in de Bijbel over wordt gesproken. Het fundament waarop we ons onderwijs bouwen.
De stippellijn geeft iets weer van een richtlijn, niet volledig afgekaderd. Ruimte voor mogelijkheden en ontwikkelingen. De lijn zorgt wel voor verbinding tussen de scholen.
Onze vijf kernwaarden zijn: verbondenheid, dienend leiderschap, (resultaat)verantwoordelijkheid, eigenaarschap en bekwaamheid.
