Supporting Older Adults Through Resources, Inc. (“SOAR”) is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving Frederick County seniors. Seniors are the largest growing population and many live on a fixed and limited income with no hope of increasing that income.
In 2015 SOAR began assisting Frederick County’s 65 and older residents whose monthly incomes do not exceed $2,100, through either direct financial assistance or by accessing other resources on their behalf. Our simple application process, either online or via snail mail, allows us to quickly determine how to handle each request efficiently and appropriately, and often requires some level of case management.
