Social AI is a Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) funded by the UKRI to train the next generation of experts in artificial social intelligence. We specialise in endowing artificial agents with social intelligence to understand users' attitudes, intentions, feelings, personality and expectations.
The Social AI CDT is based at the University of Glasgow and brings together expertise from across the School of Computing Science, the School of Psychology & Neuroscience, the Adam Smith Business School, the School of Critical Studies, the School of Engineering and the Scottish Graduate School of the Social Sciences.
We are partnered with 17 industrial leaders in socially intelligent artificial technology, including BRAIQ, Context-Scout, Dimensional Imaging, Dyson, FLASH Robotics, Furhat Robotics, Micro-phonics, Microsoft, Neurodata-Lab, PolyAI, Qumodo, Rakuten, Schumberger, SICSA, Telefonica and The Data Lab.
