Our Mission
As a nongovernmental, nonprofit organization–Social DOers is focused on ensuring Social Justice & Social Innovation, by delivering quality and accessible services to various stakeholders, from civil society organizations to public institutions, as well as to young people and youth workers.
Our Aim is to support evidence based policies & develop initiatives for young people and society at large, in order to guarantee their full participation in the political, social, economic and cultural life.
Our main Objectives are
- advocating for social & economic justice
- fostering creativity & innovation
- stimulating social change
- promoting democratic values, human rights & active citizenship
- advancing evidence based initiatives that support economic and social development of young people and adults
- facilitating cooperation between various stakeholders on topics such as sustainable development, support of research development and social entrepreneurship
- increasing vocational and educational training for young people and adults in order to improve their professional skills and competences
Our experience ranges from development of national youth policies & Legislation (Law on Youth, Standard for Youth Workers, Youth Guarantee Scheme, Internship Law) to involvement in European & International initiatives (European Quality Charter of Internships & Apprenticeships, Cooperation of young people in the Euro-Med or Black Sea Region etc.).
Currently we are leading 2 processes supporting young people in NEET situations (1) the European NEET coalition, a multi-stakeholder platform & (2) the Romanian NGO Coalition for the rights of young NEETs.
Our Team benefits of an extensive knowledge in Project & International grants Management (at both national and international level) and has successfully led various teams of volunteers and/or professionals.
