Social Effects (Management and Investiment SGPS)

We born as a ONG but in 2017 we figure out that the way is diferent. We change our way and we became a coworking spaces (bworking spaces) development companie making the diference in the comunnities, using part of our profit to invest in local social impact with our futsal team for young kids and other projetcs at bad neighbourhoods in portugal. After investing in some biotech projects, house flipping and earth impact projects in 2021 we change for a SGPS (sociedade gestora de participações societarias) with a grow of social capital from 100€ to 168.000€, becaming even more now and with a huge perspectives for 2022 and the future. companie for Profit-with-purpose investment? Is a term, recently coined, to describe the increasingly popular investment strategy of investing in companies whose focus is on positive social and/or environmental impact as well as profit. It is important to understand that that profit-with-purpose investments do not favour purpose over profit, but rather profit-with-purpose investors consider the ‘purpose’ side as synergistic with generating profit i.e. a company’s focus on purpose is helpful to their overall focus on generating profit and strong financial returns on capital invested to investors.
