Our research group investigates how design as an approach helps to explore and address complex issues in networks. How can it lead to positive societal impact? Impact that involves social, ecological and economic values and meaning, both for people, team, organization and network and society as a whole. To achieve impact, we work intensively, creatively and participatively with those involved in a complex situation. These may include issues around dementia, corona, privacy, security, undermining, obesity and circular economy. In so-called co-design processes, we want to discover and share the interests, research, experience and influence of all those involved. Do we have a better understanding of the situation and perspectives?
Ons lectoraat onderzoekt hoe design als aanpak bijdraagt om complexe vraagstukken in netwerken te verkennen en aan te pakken. Hoe kan het tot positieve maatschappelijke impact leiden? Impact waarbij het gaat om sociale, ecologische en economische waarden en betekenis, zowel voor mens, team, organisatie en netwerk als de hele maatschappij. Om impact te bewerkstelligen werken we intensief, creatief en participatief samen met hen die betrokkenen zijn in een complexe situatie. Het kan bijvoorbeeld gaan om vraagstukken rond dementie, corona, privacy, veiligheid, ondermijning, obesitas en circulaire economie. In zogenoemde co-designprocessen willen we ontdekken en delen wat de belangen, kennis, ervaring en invloed zijn van al die betrokkenen. Hebben we een beter begrip van de situatie en perspectieven?
