In brief, the Socio-Hub is an online platform where the work of students and staff of the Sociology Department can be shared with the world. The Socio-Hub will facilitate the exchange of information and knowledge between the university and others, that is the general public, companies, or governmental institutions.
So this is the situation: on the one hand, we cannot share academic work as it is because it is not written in an accessible way. On the other hand, we cannot expect students and researchers to simply know how to make their work accessible for the general public.
For this reason, the Socio-Hub team will first develop training materials necessary for learning knowledge transfer skills, which will allow them to translate academic work into a format that is accessible to everyone, easy to read and to understand.
