Socks Off Studio is an independent micro-studio based in Scotland, UK. Our aim is to passionately craft small game experiences from the perspective of a solo game developer and offer game design and serious game design expertise to the Higher Education and Academic research domains. Games, irrespective of their purpose (entertainment, learning, raising awareness) have the power to be transformative. At Socks Off we believe that games are for everyone and can be used to support change and personal growth. We have a long heritage of academic research in the serious games, game-based learning and purposeful gaming domains. We understand research imperatives, goals and processes and offer end-to-end professional services from initial concept & design to the production and development of serious games in electronic or physical media. Our games are designed to enable self-reflection, gather research insights and provide a potentially transformative experience, no matter how small.
