Finally, an end to the cola and tonic gibberish: SODA LIBRE puts the buzz back into the bar business. Its new soft drink "The Basil" has a surprisingly fresh, bittersweet basil taste and will undoubtedly be the summer drink of 2018.

Three Hamburg-based drink aficionados have joined forces to set up the SODA LIBRE label. SODA LIBRE frees itself from existing bar etiquette, taking an innovative approach to each decision and relying primarily on one guiding principle: an instinct for the right time and a unique taste!
Their first triumph is a puristic basil-flavoured soda. “The Basil” is the perfect filler for the bar: The sparkling fresh mix of sweet and sour is exciting and makes an impression due to the strong carbonation that brings its very own character. It surprises with the taste of sweet, fruity lemon combined with fresh, bitter-sweet basil.
The Basil is the perfect mixer for drinks and accentuates them perfectly. Combined with gin, tequila or vodka, as a spritz or with sparkling vine on ice "The Basil" is a byword for aromatic refreshment in a glass.
So next summer will be truly green and create an appetite for more. Coincidentally, basil belongs to the mint family and thanks to "The Basil" will soon be on everyone’s lips. Speaking of family: on its own, chilled and garnished with a fresh basil leaf and lemon wedge, this new soda also makes for an excellent non-alcoholic drink.
