In the field of the pretreatment of metals, in recent years the chemical industry has developed products with a high technological content. Research has focused on chemical products that, in addition to low environmental impact, also provide better quality coating of the supports,greater eff ectiveness in terms of improved corrosion resistance of the painted substrate and a less expensive process, due to the reduction in operating costs. Recently formulators have been concentrating on the development of so-called “nanotechnological” products, namely products with innovative and improved functionalities deriving from the handling of the material on a scale less than a micron. Thanks to its close collaboration with Dollmar Spa, one of the leading companies in the production of chemical products for the treatment of metallic surfaces, EuroPlast has been able to develop a technology called Soft Rain that is used for mixing the pretreatment nanotechnological chemical solution and its successive application, and which is capable of fully exploiting the qualitative and environmental benefi ts of nanotechnological products, lowering product consumption and eliminating the production of any sludge that needs to be disposed of. The equipment can easily be put inside traditional pretreatment tunnels without requiring any major work on the finishing line.
