SOFT tulip

Mission: As a network of Dutch healthcare institutions, SOFT tulip operates in Central and Eastern Europe to improve the quality of care for vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities, the elderly, and those with mental health conditions. SOFT tulip's goal is to create an inclusive society aligned with UN conventions on the rights of persons with disabilities and children's rights. SOFT tulip is committed to ensuring that children grow up within their own families, to promoting full citizenship and participation for people with disabilities, and to reducing institutional living. SOFT tulip provides Dutch healthcare professionals with unique learning experiences in different financial, material, and cultural contexts through international projects. This knowledge exchange fosters mutual learning and enhances skills and motivation, improving quality of healthcare both abroad and in the Netherlands. Vision: SOFT tulip strives to systematically enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities based on values of freedom, equality, and solidarity. Drawing on expertise from SOFT tulip's Dutch network of both NGOs and health institutions, and global partners, SOFT tulip supports with advocacy, network building, and policy change to promote an inclusive society in the countries where it operates. SOFT tulip believes in empowering people with disabilities and their families, and advocates for inclusive policies and community-based services to ensure full citizenship and participation for individuals with disabilities and for children to grow up in family environments.
