SOGHU - Société de gestion des huiles usagées

The Société de gestion des huiles usagées (SOGHU) is a private non-profit organization recognized by RECYC-QUÉBEC as an organization authorized to manage an integrated recovery and reclamation program for products covered by the Regulation respecting the recovery and reclamation of products by enterprises (hereinafter the "Regulation"). (Hereinafter the "Regulation"). 👉Mission SOGHU’s mission is to manage an economically, environmentally, and socially efficient and responsible collection, processing, and user awareness program for ♻️used oils, used glycol (antifreeze) ♻️used oil and glycol (antifreeze) containers with a capacity of 50 litres or less (including used lubricant aerosol and brake cleaner containers) ♻️used filters, on behalf of its members. SOGHU's activities are governed by the Regulation and by its agreement with RECYC-QUÉBEC and must be reported in detail to its members and to RECYC-QUÉBEC. 👉 Who are we? • Founded in 2004 and officially implemented on January 1st, 2005, SOGHU represents a group of companies that sell the products designated by our program. • Over 291 members provide financial support to the SOGHU network consisting of more than 1,143 collection facilities throughout Quebec. • SOGHU is managed by a Board of Directors from among the members or appointed or designated, with or without the right to vote, as stipulated in the General By-Laws. • Continuity is assured by the presence of the general manager, Mr. Jean Duchesneau.
