Soil2Know project focuses on developing an innovative measurement system designed to monitor key soil fertility parameters in real time. These parameters include water content, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and pH levels. The primary goal of the system is to enhance agricultural production efficiency while minimizing the negative environmental impact. The problem we address is that 75% of land areas are severely degraded. Simultaneously, unstable fertilizer prices pose a significant threat to global food security. At Soil2Know, we believe we can tackle these critical issues. Our smart agriculture solution employs distributed sensors using TDR technology combined with powerful AI models. This innovation optimizes fertilization and crop spraying processes, reducing costs by 20% while maintaining crop yields and revitalizing soil health in degraded areas. Moreover, our system helps combat the eutrophication of rivers by ensuring precise application of fertilizers, thereby reducing runoff into water bodies. By addressing both land degradation and water quality, the Soil2Know project aims to create a more sustainable and resilient agricultural ecosystem. Additionally, our solution ensures compliance with Green Deal regulations for farmers. By providing real-time data and insights, our system supports sustainable farming practices that align with environmental standards and policies set by the Green Deal.
