At Soil Depot we aim to revolutionize home gardening by offering honest soil that gardeners actually need. We sell soil, not dirt—and by that we mean, we sell soil that has the macronutrients plants need in order to grow. While cheaper soils are offered almost everywhere, gardeners end up spending more after their dear plants die, wasting both time and money. Keen gardeners see the difference in our soil just by looking at the texture. But we like to have a better basis so we go out and do science to our mix. We start with absolutely only the finest soil ingredients. We go far and wide to source the highest quality compost (which required a lot of time to make) and in the process build a relationship with the compost farms which had been practicing for decades. Our soil is dark and loose not because of rice hull and charred rice hull, but because legitimate compost are loose and dark and we put plenty of the highest quality compost we can find. We know it is quality because we use soil testing tools to verify the presence of nutrients in our ingredients. We test each ingredient, determine the NPK levels in each of them, compute and come up with a ratio of a mix that will yield medium NPK—the sweet spot for growing any plant. No one else obsesses with soil as much as we do. We hope to share this passion with you.
