About Soil and water Unit NSW DPI

We are a team of over 60 professional and technical staff spanning 11 regional locations The unit is dedicated to working with agriculture and forestry to ensure the sustainable use, management and conservation of the State’s soil assets. We conduct research on 13 of NSW DPI’s network of 22 Research Stations and provide policy and planning advice to maintain soils that boost productivity and sustain the environment in NSW Soils R&D is also supported by NSW DPI’s ISO accredited Diagnostic and Analytic Services (DAS)laboratories and specialist research laboratories, long term field and trial sites across a range of agro-ecosystems and agro-climatic zones.
