Solace is a registered non-profit organization committed to supporting children with long-term and life-threatening illnesses. Established in 2007 and registered under the Charitable Societies Act of Kerala (Reg. No. 597/IV/07), Solace provides holistic, family-centered care to children undergoing prolonged treatment and to the families who care for them.
Headquartered in Thrissur, Kerala, with 10 active centers across the state, Solace supports over 4,900 registered children facing conditions such as cancer, thalassemia, cerebral palsy, nephrotic syndrome, hemophilia, congenital heart diseases, epilepsy, Wilson Disease, juvenile arthritis, and other chronic illnesses. Since inception, Around 7,000 children have benefited from our programs.
Our core initiatives include:
🔹 Medical Support – Covering medical bills to ensure uninterrupted access to essential medications.
🔹 Social Support – Assisting with house rent, providing monthly food kits, and providing psychological support.
🔹 Educational Aid – Supporting the schooling of ill children and their siblings to reduce long-term impact.
🔹 Family Strengthening Program – Empowering parents, especially mothers, with skills in tailoring, handicrafts, and small-scale entrepreneurship.
🔹 Respite Centre – Offering free therapies (physiotherapy, behavioral, occupational, speech) and shelter for children and caregivers in crisis.
🔹 Short Stay Home – Located in Thiruvananthapuram, this facility provides free, safe accommodation for children and families traveling from distant districts for cancer treatment.
