BME Solar Boat Team

BME Solar Boat Team was founded in 2014 with the purpose of building the first human driven solar powered race boat in Hungary. ☀⛵ Since the establishment of the Solar Boat Team, many students have joined the project: approximately 100 students, from 4 faculties (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Economy and Vehicle Engineering) of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics contributed to design and later to improve the first boat, and to design and build the second one. 💚⛵ Nowadays the renewable energy sources became a very popular research topic both in Europe and in Hungary. Our racing team was founded with a longterm goal, to create a knowledge base and infrastructure that could be used by the newer generations, as well. Our mission means a huge challenge for us because at our university, we were the firsts who designed and built a solar powered human-driven race boat.☀💚
