Ita Wegman Association is a non-profit entity, which has the following objectives:
• Promote activities designed for the assistance and social integration of people with special needs;
• Qualify people for the exercise of pedagogical and therapeutic activities based on Anthroposophy, especially the Waldorf and Curative Education;
• Contribute with society in the solution of problems related to people with special needs (children, young people, and adults), aiming for complete human and social development.
We do believe that a human being is defined by who he is and not by his missing abilities. Thus, his possibilities interest us more than his difficulties. We recognize in him a potential to be brought to light, built and developed. In this way, our wish is to promote transformative actions in the lives of people with special needs.
