SolGrapH Inc. is a clean energy technology company that is developing
and commercializing a novel, emission-free process that uses concentrated solar irradiation to convert natural gas or biogas into high-quality and high-purity graphite and hydrogen.
SolGrapH is a spin-out of UCLA Engineering, with our laboratory space located in the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI). SolGrapH is a part of CNSI's Magnify startup accelerator program.
SolGrapH recently received a Fast-Track Small-Business Technology Transfer (STTR) award from the Department of Energy (DOE) to advance solar-thermal synthesis of graphite for rechargeable Lithium-ion battery anodes with application to electric vehicles, energy grid storage, and portable devices.
