Solon Group is a boutique business development and turnaround management firm that focuses on helping corporations and their boards, managers, investors and lenders address challenges. No matter how talented the team at the table, solving a problem from the inside can often be difficult. Solon brings the detachment of the outsider, the attitude of an owner, and the steady hands of experience to all assignments. We have deep experience as fiduciaries. Whether we serve as independent director or chairman, as trustee or examiner, we work for the parties whose money is at stake. When a change in strategy requires a supplement to management, we have often stepped in as interim Chief Executive or Chief Restructuring Officer to accomplish key objectives. We handle a wide variety of advisory roles, from board evaluation and assistance to strategy development and execution. We also serve as financial, strategic, investment, and operating advisors to many types of entities, including early and late stage companies, private equity investors, venture and angel investors, lenders, committees in bankruptcy, community and economic development organizations, with a constant focus on helping to develop robust and sustainable solutions and outcomes. Solon also invests its own funds in early stage companies, real estate, and other development projects. We do not, however, invest in Solon clients as a rule, though we do from time to time manage investments for others.
