Solutions at Work is a Nonprofit providing essentials Good and Services for the Impoverished and Homeless. We do this by providing essential items necessary to return a family or individual to self-sufficiency not usually covered by government or agency programs. These include: refurbished computers on which to maintain skills and send out resumes; clothing, books, toys for children; infant paraphernalia; interview wardrobes for both men and women; and inexpensive moving services. Mission, Vision, and Values Solutions at Work was founded by a group of homeless individuals in Cambridge in 1989. Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness by providing individuals and families with opportunities to strengthen their self-confidence, professional skills, and financial stability. We envision a Greater Boston in which homeless and poor people have the resources, opportunities, and partners they need to achieve self-sufficiency.
