Somaiya Debating Society

The Somaiya Debating Society is a pioneering force within Somaiya Vidyavihar University, proud to be the premier pan-Somaiya student body. Our mission is to foster a tightly-knit student community united by a passion for debating. We believe that the skill of argumentation resides within everyone and can be nurtured with perseverance. We host weekly debating sessions, engaging workshops, and major events such as Debatables, The Big Somaiya Debate, and Model United Nations (MUNs). These activities, crafted by students for students, promote an environment where voices are heard and ideas exchanged. We are committed to providing a platform for individuals from diverse backgrounds to engage in thought-provoking discussions, challenge perspectives, and explore complex issues.
