Somalia Localization Network (SOLONET) is a pure local consortium of local NGOs operating in Somalia with a focus on advancing the aid localization agenda and supporting member organizations to have a stronger voice. This requires collaboration and coordination among diverse stakeholders. It is against this backdrop that the Somalia Localization Network (SOLONET) was established.
SOLONET brings together diverse NGOs under a consortium framework, where the members can collectively advocate for the localization of aid, strengthen their capacities, share best practices and resources, and amplify their voices in shaping policies and programs for sustainable development in Somalia.
Vision:
Our vision is to create a more inclusive, effective, and locally-led humanitarian and development response in Somalia, where local actors play a central role in decision-making, have fair access to financial resources, and implement community-driven humanitarian projects and initiatives.
