After a few years in sales, PR, events and label coordinator roles at Banquet Records, [PIAS] UK and The Association of Independent Festivals, Malcolmson began her PR career as Campaign & Account Manager at a lifestyle and events PR agency, before moving on to become a Music Publicist at 9PR (Max Richter, Hauschka, Lee Scratch Perry, Hannah Peel, Ian William Craig, The Album Leaf etc). Malcolmson then became Head of Press at revered indie label One Little Indian Records (Björk, Ásgeir, Poppy Ackroyd, Bad Breeding, Peluché etc), alongside running the UK office of US-based PR and Marketing company, Brixton Agency (Modern Baseball, Julien Baker, La Dispute, Ovlov, Drug Church etc). She has worked with the rosters of labels such as Universal, Sony Music, Columbia, One Little Indian Records, Run For Cover, Erased Tapes, Fat Cat Records, 130701, Deutsche Grammophon, Spacebomb, Glassnote, Tin Angel, Cooking Vinyl, Distiller, Raygun, Relapse, Solid State, Epitaph, 6131 Records, Club AC30, Big Scary Monsters, Alcopop!, Monotreme Records and Cognitive Shift to name a few.
