Sonexel Pty. Ltd./SonoChem Limited has acquired, developed and patented (EU and USA), unique antibacterial and antiviral technologies relating to Anti Microbial Resistance (AMR) and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI). The patents resulted from a major US$12 million European Union-funded seven nation programme ("SONO"), in coordination with Coventry University (UK). SonoChem refined a method for mass producing low cost antimicrobial textiles using Sonochemistry to produce nanoparticles, including copper and zinc, for infusion into textiles.
