Two significant challenges that providers face today are: 1) schedules booked out months in advance, leading to frustrated consumers who need an appointment as soon as possible, and 2) a rise in appointments canceled within 24 hours that go unfilled. We aim to solve these problems by enabling providers to create dynamic, digital waitlists and encourage consumers who need an earlier appointment to join those lists. When a cancellation or last-minute opening is entered into the system, automated outreach is made systematically to those on the waitlist. This notifies consumers of the available appointment and provides an easy way for them to confirm it. In the end, the consumer is happy to get an earlier appointment, and the provider can fill a slot that would otherwise go unfilled, preventing lost revenue.
