The Automotive and Mechanical Sports Association of Sorbonne University (commonly known as Sorbonne Racing Team) was born from the shared passion of individuals driven by a love for vehicles and the thrill of motorsports. The initial idea emerged from a desire to create a space where automotive enthusiasts could come together, exchange ideas, and bring their common interest in mechanics and competition to life. Our primary goal is to unite automotive and motorsports enthusiasts through various events and projects. At the heart of this mission lies the desire to offer our members a unique experience, blending camaraderie, personal growth, and both technical and theoretical development. We also aim to make ambitious projects, typically reserved for private institutions, accessible within the university setting. Among these projects, participating in renowned competitions like Formula Student represents a major ambition. This international competition, which gathers hundreds of schools, offers an exceptional opportunity for association members to apply their knowledge in a competitive context. Another key focus of the association is to introduce participants to the engineering profession by promoting the development of technical and professional skills. Sorbonne Racing Team is open to all automotive and motorsports enthusiasts, whether they are students, amateurs, or professionals.
