About Sports Orthopedic Research Center - Copenhagen

Sports Orthopedic Research Center – Copenhagen (SORC-C) is a multidisciplinary research unit at the Orthopedic Department at Amager-Hvidovre University Hospital. The research unit was initiated by Professor Per Hölmich in 2005 at Amager Hospital, creating the foundation for SORC-C that was established together with Professor Kristian Thorborg in 2012. The main focus of SORC-C is centered around prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal problems, and SORC-C is involved in research, education and organizational work at both national and international levels to promote and deliver safe and healthy sport, exercise and physical activity participation for all.
