Sound Ocean Science

Marine ecosystems are of vital importance to humans and the planet, but increasingly face an uncertain future. Expanding our knowledge of marine ecosystems, and enhancing efforts to conserve and manage these undersea habitats, requires a multi-scale approach centered on unbiased science. By combining technical expertise, creative cross-disciplinary ideas, and rigorous data analysis, Sound Ocean Science (SOS) strives to advance marine ecology & conservation research and support its application in academic, private, public, and non-profit settings. Towards better outcomes for both nature and people, we aim to increase inclusivity in science and conservation by working directly on-the-ground with underserved communities, as well as communicating our science through creative and adaptive education programs.
