Since opening in 1971, South Eastern Private has grown to become a specialist 203 bed medical, rehabilitation and mental health hospital helping the wider Melbourne community. Conveniently located just off the Eastlink at the junction of Heatherton Road and Princes Highway in Melbourne's south eastern suburbs, we accept patients with private health insurance, uninsured self-funded patients, Workers Compensation and TAC patients. We also welcome eligible veterans and war widows under our Tier 1 provider relationship with the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA).
