Welcome to SWD - South West Defence, the aim and hope for this group is to create a community of professionals within the South West defence space and given the hub of defence organisations based here it seems crazy to us that we all have to travel to London or further afield to attend such events. We will continue with our quarterly events with our first being completed in February, and our next event planed for June.
Our first event saw us host speakers from Masktek, Deliotte, Rowden & Black & White Consulting focusing on AI within defence. Our event in June is certainly going to continue the hot topic of AI, Electronic Warfare and the advancements in warfare that the industry is seeing.
A little about us;
Steve Walker & Sam Wiltshire both work for Experis, and we run the defence division primarily within an outcomes based setting (SOW). Whilst we suspect you get hounded by “our type of profession”, we are not here to sell anything. We feel that the South West is a great hub of industry leaders and there is a lack of ability to network with peers.
