Southampton Hydro Team

Based at the University of Southampton in Hampshire, UK, we build and race a 2m long remote controlled boat in the international HydroContest. In 2016 we were the winners of the Communication Prize. The HydroContest is a competition organised by the Hydros Foundation featuring teams of students from universities across the world. The 2016 event comprised 24 teams from as far afield as Colombia and Malaysia. The contest challenges the teams to work towards the Hydros Foundation goal of fostering maritime efficiency in all forms
